Noland Company Opens New Salisbury Facility
SALISBURY, Md., June 6, 2006 – Noland Company, a wholesale distributor of plumbing and HVAC equipment and supplies, has opened a new, $2.7 million building to accommodate the company’s strong growth in the area.
The 36,350-square-foot facility is one of Noland’s prototype buildings and has enough space to house what used to be in three buildings at its previous location, 924 Eastern Shore Dr.
“The building’s design and features allows us to be more efficient, provide better assistance for our customers including faster deliveries and enhanced customer service,” said Wilson Stewart, store manager of the Noland Salisbury branch.
In addition, the building also offers the most up-to-date and modern home plumbing products showroom in the area, the Bath & Idea Center. This 2,600-square-foot showroom is open to the public and supplies a variety of luxurious plumbing fixtures for homeowners, contractors and builders.
The bath and kitchen plumbing products are displayed in a setting are that allows homeowners to see first hand their design and functionality.
“We are excited about the Bath & Idea Center, because we did not have a showroom for customers in our old building,” said Stewart. “Now we are able to extend our services not only to builders, contractors and interior designers, but to homeowners as well.”
The branch, which employs 14 people and expects to add more to the staff as business grows, serves plumbing and HVAC contractors, builders, remodelers, architects and interior designers, as well as the public.
Noland Company, based in Newport News, Va., distributes products to the plumbing, HVAC, water systems, electrical and industrial fields from over 100 branches in 13 states.
