Delta’s Brilliance finish outshines the competition.

Delta was the first major manufacturer to develop a Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) finish for faucets, revolutionizing the faucet industry. PVD, a process used by NASA to protect shuttles during reentry, uses low voltage ionization to create a finish that is practically indestructible. Today many manufacturers market their own versions of PVD finishes, but not all faucet finishes are created equal.

Delta’s Brilliance finish promises never to tarnish, corrode or discolor for the lifetime of the faucet, even when exposed to salt and sea mist. In a series of tests conducted by an independent research laboratory, Delta’s Brilliance finish ranked head and shoulders above the competition. It even beat out traditional chrome, which for a long time was considered to be the most durable faucet finish. Tested against more than 100 household cleaners and scouring with steel wool, the finish withstood the punishing tests, retaining its “out of the box” shine.

An added benefit to the Brilliance finished faucets is that they are quicker and easier to install because the surface is not easily damaged. Delta offers four Brilliance finishes for its kitchen and bathroom faucets: polished brass, pearl nickel, polished nickel and stainless steel. Any Brilliance faucet finish is ideal for high traffic areas, such as the kitchen and children’s bath.
