American Standard offers Stan-Sure cleaning help

American Standard's Stan-Sure slip-resistance coating for your tub/shower flooring is composed of a mixture of porcelain enamel and a very hard quartz, so proper care and cleaning of your floor surface is important. American Standard recommends the following cleaning and care instructions:

  1. Wet the tub surface
  2. Sprinkle powdered cleaner (Bon Ami, Spic 'N Span, didi seven or Zud) onto a wet spong
  3. Apply to the stain
  4. Rinse with water

Note: Do no use any type of scouring pad or abrasive cleaners on the bathtub.

If you notice rust spots, do not worry. They may appear after installation due to metal debris left inside the tub or from leaving the razor blade on the surface after shaving. American Standard offers the following advice to remove rust stains:

  1. Wet the tub surface
  2. Apply cleaner such as Iron Out, Zud, KRC-7, didi seven or CLR to the stain
  3. Scour the stain with at wet sponge or cloth
  4. Rinse with water
