American Standards Town Square reflects a
time passed, simplifies choices.
Ever heard the saying History repeats
itself? Well, it not only pertains to major historical events
and clothing trends, but bathroom trends as well. In fact, many
of todays hottest trends in bathroom design are rooted in
the ancient bathing rituals of the worlds earliest civilizations.
To meet consumer demand, designers and manufacturers
are creating fixtures reminiscent of a time passed. For example,
American Standards new Town Square Collection is based on
the principles of Shaker and Prairie School design, featuring clean
straight lines for a sophisticated, yet comfortable look.
Although the design reflects a bygone era, this
completely coordinated collection is for todays homeowner.
With the sometimes overwhelming variety of bathroom fixtures and
colors available today, American Standard has simplified the product
selection process.
Town Square is the first suite of bathroom fixtures,
faucets and accessories designed as one complete solution for new
and remodeled bathrooms of any size. The industry has always
launched products, rather than solutions, said Laurie Breininger,
Vice President and General Manager, Americas Plumbing. But
85 percent of the time, homeowners are doing projects, not replacing
products. Homeowners can get overwhelmed trying to make decisions
today on so many products that need to last for years to come.
The collection includes a range of fixtures to outfit
your bathroom the way you want it without feeling bombarded with
options. Keeping with the simplistic approach, the fixture color
options are available in only four colors: White, Bone, Linen and
Black. The faucets and accessories are available in the most popular
finishes: polished chrome, satin chrome and polished brass.
Town Square was created using American Standards
exclusive Right Height design, meaning the toilet bowls are slightly
higher at 16.5 inches, instead of the typical 14 inches. And the
pedestal lavatories are 36 inches high to reduce strain on the lower
back while brushing teeth or washing your face.
