American Standard’s Project Estimator helps with the not-so-fun task of budgeting.

When it comes to remodeling the bathroom, one key factor in determining the size and scope of a project is cost. In the preliminary stages, it is often difficult to figure how much to budget without researching the specifics of your project. Before doing all the legwork to determine cost, let American Standard make it easier. Added to its website is a new feature—the project estimator—that will help you estimate, in no time at all, the cost for your bath remodeling project.

After logging on to American Standard's Project Estimator, you will be asked a series of five simple questions, such as which fixtures and faucets are being replaced and whether you plan to paint the walls. After completing the questions, the project estimator calculates and provides a dollar amount based on your answers. If you need to change any of your answers to see how that affects the cost, you can do that too.

This handy feature will help you get started with a ballpark figure for your bathroom remodeling job and help gauge whether you need to scale back or if there’s room for an upgrade or two. Remember that the dollar figure provided is a rough estimate based on national averages. It does not factor in your geographic location, local or state taxes as well as building permits or any other fees required by law.
